Lion Voices - Aaron Krafft

Written By: Jacob Howell

Happy Friday, Lions! Today’s #LionVoices feature is sophomore graphic design major from Fort Smith, Aaron Krafft.

Aaron said the main things that swayed his decision to come to ԰ɵ were the affordability, and quality of the programs. “I had been eyeballing graphic design for a while and I feel like other colleges just didn’t have the tools or facilities ԰ɵ offered. It’s just more bang for your buck.”

He also said that ԰ɵ has had a major influence on his personal growth. “It has made me a lot more open and responsible. The people here are very well-minded, so that made it easy for me to get out of my comfort zone and open up to new people. It’s a nice little community.” Speaking more on responsibility, Aaron said “԰ɵ has given me a more emotional ground to deal with different things in life. It has given me the tools to be confident in my decisions and actions.”

Aaron plans to pursue a design career after he graduates. “I don’t want to limit myself to just one part of graphic design, I want to be a jack-of-all-trades. ԰ɵ has given me the tools, and the confidence to use those tools to achieve that goal.”

Aaron says he is most proud of the community at ԰ɵ. “You’re not just a number here, you’re a person. The teachers call you by name, care about who you are, and want to help you succeed. It’s a place you want to be.”
